Linda Huston, RNC
Linda Huston, RNC has been involved in women's health care nursing since
1981. She worked in obstetrics and gynecology for 8 years and then began
specializing in infertility nursing in 1989. Linda has a Bachelors Degree in
Psychology, an Associates Degree in Nursing, and received her NCC Certification
in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility in 1993.
Her infertility
experience includes nursing in the Presbyterian Healthcare System's IVF centers
and in private practice. She advises patients on medication protocols,
coordinates IVF cycles, monitors ovarian stimulation with ultrasound, and
performs intrauterine inseminations.
Her special area of interest
includes the emotional and stress-related issues that often accompany
infertility. With the help of an ivpcare nursing education grant in 2002, she
developed a website addressing these concerns. http://www.infertilitymindbody.com
To
further help women cope with these issues, she also helped establish a
mind/body program in Dallas, which is patterned after the one used at the
Harvard Mind Body Institute and Boston IVF.
Her passion for fertility
nursing is fueled by personally experiencing the joy of her own two children
and three grandchildren. She finds helping others achieve these dreams
extremely rewarding.
